Sunset Cliffs #001
Acrylic on Canvas
24in x 30 in Framed
This painting was completed in 2023 during my time at PLNU in San Diego. I started college as a business finance major, however the beauty of sunset cliffs inspired my upwelling of creativity. I’ve always had an interest for art but I realized after 1 year I wanted to do something with art and design. So I added a fine art minor. I quickly realized that is something I wanted to do. Going into my junior year I switched majors to graphic design - marketing. I learned the skill sets of being a designer through magazine production, photography, illustration, and sculpture.
It was around this time I took up painting again. This painting is a reflection of the beautiful world that sunset cliffs opened my eyes towards the raw, bold, organic shapes and lines the natural world presents. In plein air fashion, I began painting at the cliffs which unveiled this sunset scene full of color and joy.
