The Music Theory Series encapsulates the journey of self-recorded music. The challenges, the inspirations and the emotions. It defines how various instruments are used to benefit another and are often interchangeable. These paintings are directly correlated to my passion to create in various mediums including musical tendencies.

Abstract Coastal Compositions
Growing up in Laguna Beach I found my free time to be spent at the beach. Other than only admiring the beautiful weather I felt inspired by the diversity of the North American western coastlines. These paintings reflect my time spent in Point Loma, San Diego, surf trips to Mexico. The bold lines are attest to immense scenery coastlines leave engraved in my mind. I hope to explore what other continents coastlines leave on my canvas.
Waves
Being so fond of the coastal communities, it was only right that from a young age I sought to channel the power of mother nature. I started surfing around 9 or 10 years old and only recently realized an ambition to capture waves. I accredit this to going to PLNU and having a university campus right on Sunset Cliffs. Waves are free flowing, abstract, inconsistent, and powerful. Colors not normally seen in the ocean offer a story for how that wave will break and which rays of light spark creativity.

Wilt & Bloom Block Print
Inspired by Summer 2023 during the super-bloom of flowers in Point Loma, I carved into a linoleum block two flowers. One is fully bloomed and the other is wilted. The monotone design is bold, unique, and appealing.
