This series of artwork found within Josh Brooks’ sketchbook displays the late summer of Laguna Beach with fluid expression of an ink brush pen.

During this stretch after his trip to New York, Josh Brooks went on a road trip to Santa Cruz and San Francisco. There he found inspiration for songwriting from the cold water waves and the activities of the city.

This time was full of music as a priority and envelops a few different periods of the unknown. These sketches combine a sharp contrast of memories to never forget. Josh Brooks uses bold ink drawings to intertwine the flow of music, the ocean, and nature.
