Each painting comes from a day of adventure captured firstly through an ink illustration. It is through my sketchbooks that series appear. Often through imagery and similarity, I found my mind often flows from one idea to the next. With these curated sketches, I begin to channel them towards oil paint. The loose feeling of my sketches are transformed into color keeping the expression of wild, bold, and whimsical from the original sketch.
