This book was Josh Brooks’ first sketchbook with its initial use being for poetry. It starts with a poem while watching a night surfer at Rockpile, in Laguna Beach. Writing poetry is a slower and far more limiting creative process than drawing and painting. There are various lyrics, songs, and poems intermixed within Josh Brooks’ art.

This book showcases travel between Laguna Beach, Sayulita, Mexico, the south coast of Italy, and Schweitzer, Idaho while living in San Diego for university.
