The title being “Artists World” comes from a recent college graduate, Josh Brooks, deciding that humans are made to create. Page one begins in New York City capturing quick sights from the street. Josh Brooks uses expressive drawing to fill his book of the fast paced lifestyle of New York City.

Josh took a limited palette of pens to the Museum of Modern Art in New York to learn from showing artists. The primary color palette exudes childlike curiosity to break down extensive paintings, sculptures, and installations into surreal and abstract, yet figurative, compositions.

Josh Brooks’ desire for inspiration continued with sketches of marble statues and various sculptures from within the Met museum. There is an abstract collage of color done in Connecticut before returning to California.

Back home in Laguna Beach, Josh Brooks began finding inspiration with dark, bold, linework of coastal landscapes. He then continued to capture illustrative portraits and scenes of his friends.
